1. Overview
At Rhizent Technologies, we respect your right to control your digital identity and personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You have the unconditional right to delete your PlantSpace account and permanently remove your data at any time.
2. Pathway 1: In-App Self-Service Deletion
You can delete your account directly inside the PlantSpace mobile app (Android or iOS) in five simple steps:
- Open the PlantSpace app on your Android or iOS device.
- Tap your Profile icon in the bottom navigation bar.
- Tap the Settings gear icon in the top right corner.
- Scroll to Account & Security and tap Delete Account.
- Review the permanent deletion disclosure and confirm your identity by re-entering your authentication credentials.
Once confirmed, your account is immediately logged out, your public profile is deactivated, and the deletion pipeline begins.
3. Pathway 2: Web & Email Deletion Route
If you have uninstalled the application or cannot access your mobile device, you can request account deletion via email:
Send an email to: support@rhizent.space
Subject line: PlantSpace Account Deletion Request
Required Details: Your registered phone number or email address, and your public username/handle.
Please send the request from the email address registered with your account to verify ownership.
4. What Data Is Permanently Deleted
When your deletion request is processed, the following items are permanently erased from active databases:
- Profile Record: Username, display name, bio, avatar, and Dynamic Profile growth stage.
- Authentication Credentials: User IDs, hashed tokens, and phone/email links.
- Public Content: All Sprouts (posts), Vines (comments) you uploaded, and public Community memberships.
- Cryptographic Metadata: Any server-held public keys or encrypted message routing headers.
5. What Data Is Temporarily Retained & Why
In compliance with statutory requirements under Indian law (including Rule 3(1)(h) of the Information Technology Rules, 2021):
- Statutory Audit Logs: Limited server registration and network audit logs (e.g., account creation timestamp and IP addresses) are retained securely in isolated archive storage solely for the minimum retention period required by Indian law (currently up to 180 days) for lawful law enforcement compliance, after which they are automatically destroyed.
This retained data cannot be accessed for commercial purposes, is not searchable, and is never restored to active databases.
6. Processing Timeline
In-app deletion takes effect immediately on your profile and public visibility. Email-initiated deletion requests are processed by our team within 48 hours of identity verification.
