About Rhizent Technologies

Technology that grows with the land.

The Origin

Rhizent Technologies was created to bridge a growing divide. On one side are the living realities of the soil, plant health, and farming communities. On the other side is modern consumer software, which too often incentivizes endless scrolling, intrusive data harvesting, and advertising models that treat users as behavioral data points.

The name Rhizent comes from rhizome—the subterranean plant stem that grows horizontally, sending out roots and shoots from its nodes. In botany, a rhizome represents resilience, decentralized vitality, and organic connection. That is how we think about software: tools that take root quietly, support real growth, and remain grounded in their environment.

Guiding Values

Honesty

We speak plainly. We do not invent user statistics, claim artificial awards, or inflate a solo development project into a corporate facade. What you see is what we have built.

Farmer-First

Agricultural tools must survive real field conditions. That means zero connectivity tolerance, daylight readability, local language terminology, and strict adherence to peer-reviewed agronomic science over manufacturer marketing.

Privacy by Design

User data is a liability, not an asset. If we do not need it to deliver the core service, we do not collect it. We cannot read private messages, we do not run third-party advertising trackers, and we follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Organic Growth

We prioritize stability, thoughtful craftsmanship, and long-term utility over venture-fueled hyper-growth or dark patterns designed to maximize time-on-device.

Harsha Vardhan

Founder & Developer

Harsha is a final-year B.Sc. Agriculture student at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, and a software developer building native clients for Android (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose) and iOS (Swift, SwiftUI).

Combining practical agronomy coursework (plant genetics, pathology, soil chemistry, IPM) with native mobile architecture, Harsha designs and builds Rhizent's applications from the ground up, starting with PlantSpace and CropPulse.

How We Build

Software craft matters as much as agronomic intent. We approach engineering with disciplined simplicity:

  • Native Performance: Building first-class native clients—Kotlin and Jetpack Compose on Android, and Swift and SwiftUI on iOS—ensuring platform fidelity, battery efficiency, smooth rendering, and responsiveness.
  • End-to-End Encryption: Employing proven cryptographic primitives for private communications so that server operators cannot inspect message contents.
  • Zero Third-Party Trackers: No marketing SDKs, Facebook pixels, or surveillance analytics embedded in our applications or website.
  • Lightweight Footprint: Strict constraints on app package size and memory overhead to ensure apps remain accessible in regions with limited bandwidth.
